Jay and Charles left high profile careers in the golf industry to pursue a life’s mission to share the Southern Nevada outdoors with those who visit and live in the area. After many years of mountaineering and hiking we “pushed all in” Vegas style and have become the only locally owned guiding company with permits to all parks (National and State) in Southern Nevada.
As trained Wilderness First Responders and Leave No Trace Trainers, we are committed to being the best guides in the area while educating our clients on the proper methods to make hiking fun and enjoyable for the current and future generations.

Jay started exploring Southern Nevada’s great outdoors in 2003 when he moved to Las Vegas from Reno for college. He has a B.S. in Recreation and Leisure, a Masters of Hospitality from U.N.L.V. and a Masters of Sustainable Tourism from Arizona State University. He has multiple ascents of 14,000 ft. peaks including Mt. Shasta (14.2K), Rainier (14.4K), and Mt. Whitney (the highest peak in the continental US) . A few of Jay’s favorite things outside of hiking are spending time with his dogs Cowboy and Rowdy, collecting trucker hats, and planning his next climbing trip. Jay loves the Cowboys and Jerry Jones.
White Mountain Loop at Red Rock. It’s the perfect distance if you can get away for a few hours and we get to experience and discuss multiple landscapes as we circle White Mountain in the middle of the conservation area.
Charles grew up loving the outdoors, visiting National and State Parks all over the country every summer with his grandfather. Charles has a BS in Business from UC Riverside and an AA in Golf Management and has been managing restaurants and top golf courses for 25 years. His love for climbing bigger objectives came after a last minute vacation to Denali National Park and Preserve in 2012 where he saw Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range up close. Since then Charles has climbed on the Grand Teton, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Whitney (14.5K), Mt. Kilimanjaro (19.4K), and multiple routes on Mt. Rainier. Charles is also an avid runner and his next race is anything you sign him up for. He loves pushing himself and his clients a little bit and can get the most out of his clients’ day in the mountains. Charles is an avid baseball fan and knows the Orioles win the World Series before he turns 100.
Bridge Mountain at Red Rock. It has a little bit of everything and makes you earn the view with a little class 3 scrambling at the end. Makes lunch taste that much better.
